Post-metal makers the Melvins and the experimental guitarist Keiji Haino will perform live soundtracks for underground American filmmaker Cameron Jamie's films at the 2006 Whitney Biennial. For the performance, which will take place May 17 at 8 p.m., the Melvins will play the music for Jamie's Kranky Klaus, BB and Spook House, and Haino will perform to Jamie's most recent film, JO. The concert, which is a one-time only event, will be at Symphony Space in Manhattan, but is part of the Whitney Museum's 2006 Biennial showcase of American art. Cameron Jamie's Kranky Klaus will also be showing in the Whitney Museum's second floor Film and Video Gallery through June 11. www.whitney.org
