Singer-songwriters will be the focus of a new Rough Trade compilation, due this summer via Mute. The double disc, titled Rough Trade Shops: Singer Songwriter 01, will feature 38 songs from underground up-and-comers such as Micah P. Hinson, King Creosote and Diane Cluck along with staples such as Bright Eyes, Nick Cave, Lou Barlow, Elvis Costello, PJ Harvey, Elliott Smith, Tom Waits and Cat Power.
