Most people know Kyp Malone as the bearded vocalist/guitarist/loopman for TV On The Radio. Since 2000, however, he has been working on and recording his own solo music under the name Rain Machine. Yesterday, it was announced that Rain Machine had signed to Anti, home of artists such as Busdriver, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, and Neko Case. The label will release Rain Machine's debut in the fall of this year. The forthcoming album is said to be a transcendental noise piece produced by Ian Brennan, who has worked with Lucinda Williams, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Nels Cline of Wilco. www.anti.com
