Modest Mouse, who have been on a live-show hiatus for the past nine months, have just announced a handful of West Coast dates slated for August. The band, who toured relentlessly through much of 2004 and 2005 in support of their breakthrough record, Good News For People Who Love Bad News (Epic), will start things off August 5 with an appearance at San Diego's Street Scene festival. They will then migrate up into Oregon for a couple of shows, which will be good news for West Coasters and bad news for... well, we all know where this is going.
