Chicago MC Common and Philly hip-hop group (and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon house band) the Roots have teamed up with cognac makers Hennessy for the Hennessy Artistry series. Headlined and curated by Common (even a conscious rapper gets thirsty every so often) with the Roots acting as the house band, Artistry will take place in Chicago, Atlanta, Houston and New York. This shows, which in the past have seen performances by Kanye West, LL Cool J and Ne-Yo, will feature various performers and collaborators ranging from the up-and-coming to special well known guests.
