Greg Graffin And Weakerthans Tour

Greg Graffin And Weakerthans Tour
Jun 8, 2006
Story by: Nick Brewer

Greg Graffin may be better known as the frontman of the political punk band Bad Religion, but he'll be spending the summer promoting his traditional folk solo project with support from the Weakerthans. Graffin's solo album, Cold As The Clay (Epitaph), will be released July 11 and, to support its release, he will perform with Epitaph labelmates the Weakerthans for a week-long stint through the Northeast. The Weakerthans, who appeared on four of the new album's 11 tracks, will serve as Graffin's backing band for the tour. As previously reported, the album was produced by Brett Gurewitz with Jolie Holland contributing to a track.

Bad Religion fans looking for a touch of the harder stuff need not worry. Graffin has said that he will continue to record a new Bad Religion album, and that he has already begun the recording and writing process. The fan website "The BR Page" has reported that the album will probably be released in September.
