Acoustic singer/songwriter and, er, trip-hopper Beth Orton has announced another slate of dates scheduled for July. Her 15-stop tour kicks off July 7 in Vermont and takes her from one end of the map to the other, culminating with a show at the Avalon in Los Angeles. Orton toured this spring in support of her latest release, Comfort Of Strangers, which was produced by mad scientist and sometime Sonic Youth/Wilco member Jim O'Rourke. Fine, he's not really a mad scientist, but the rest is true. Swear.
