L.A.-based singer/guitarist Imaad Wasif announced dates for his West Coast solo jaunt. Having performed with Alaska!, Lowercase and the Folk Implosion, bard and minstrel Wasif continues to share the wealth of talent this year as the handpicked visionary axe handyman for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs Show Your Bones tour. Switching gears a bit, Wasif will now be touring in support of his self-titled Kill Rock Stars debut through July 12, when he catches up with the Yeahs again for the Aussie leg of their dates. No solo East Coast shows are currently scheduled, but Imaad will be in New York City August 11 and 12, just in time for the Yeahs' Brooklyn stint with Sonic Youth. In addition to his solo release, Wasif also contributes the track "Other Voices" to KRS owner Slim Moon's singer-songwriter compilation, The Sound the Hare Heard.
