Vermont-based experimental jam outfit MV And EE are back with their umpteenth full-length, Barn Nova, which is due out October 13 via Ecstatic Peace. MV And EE is the brainchild of Matt "MV" Valentine and Erika "EE" Elder, and on this new album—their third for Thurston Moore's label—they are joined by guests and collaborators like J Mascis and Woods' Jeremy Earl. Citing a myriad of obscure influences, the grandiose collective links everything from hard rock to Indian raga to folk in a purely psychedelic fashion on this evocative new collection, which they refer to as a "feature film for the blind." In support of the new release, Valentine and Elder will be touring the States along with their traveling band, the Golden Road. The tour kicks off this Sunday with a performance at the Wikermania Festival in Massachusetts and ends with an opening slot at a October 1 Sonic Youth show in Tempe. Track List For Barn Nova: 01.
