Radio K Hits Full Frequency
Oct 1, 2009
Story by: Marisa Aveling

Minnesota's oldest student-run radio station, Radio K, is launching 24/7 broadcasts via two FM signals as of today. The University Of Minnesota station was previously limited to an AM signal, which meant that Radio K was only able to broadcast during daylight hours. Now the station will be broadcasting to full effect on 104.5 FM in Minneapolis and 100.7 FM in St. Paul, as well as its continuing on 770 AM (although still only during daylight hours on the latter frequency). It will also be streaming via the internet at www.radiok.org. Radio K has also been selected as one of six college radio stations to broadcast live during the CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival. Listen for them between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, October 23.
