Following the October 20 release of his newest album, The Conformist, Doveman (aka Thomas Bartlett) will play eight US and three Canadian tour dates opening for the Swell Season. Although Bartlett has previously performed as part of the Swell Season, on this tour he will be playing his own solo set. The tour kicks off in Toronto on November 3 and runs through November 25. The Conformist (Brassland), Doveman's fourth solo album since 1984, comes two years his last album, With My Left Hand I Raise The Dead and follows last year's cover of the Footloose soundtrack. It features guest performances by Glen Hansard (of the Swell Season), Martha Wainwright, Norah Jones, Nico Muhly, Sam Amidon and members of the National.
