Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas has finished his solo debut, Phrazes For The Young, and in celebration of its release will take up a Friday night residency in November at Los Angeles' Downtown Palace Theater. Casablancas, who wrote and orchestrated every detail of the upcoming effort himself, will also play a one-night stand at San Francisco's Regency Ballroom on November 17. Due out November 3 via Cult/RCA, Phrazes For The Young is shaping up to sound like something of a Strokes album with perhaps a bit more synthesizer.
