UK trio Wetdog will release its new album Frauhaus! (that's German for "woman-house") on Captured Tracks on November 30. The Brooklyn indie label also plans to reissue the band's debut LP, Enterprise Reversal. With their loud, lurching bass, distorted guitar, yelping female vocals with stark British accents and plenty of noisy percussion, Wetdog channels early Slits and the Raincoats with tons of 21st Century energy. They have opened for New York shoegazing punks Crystal Stilts and Vivian Girls on their UK dates, and will play December 16 in London. According to their label's site, Wetdog will tour the US in 2010. In the meantime, check out the disorienting swimming pool scenes in their video for "Lower Leg," the first single from Frauhaus!, filmed by the band themselves.
