Gritty soul-rock outfit the Jamie McLean Band has joined the ranks of Radiohead by digitally releasing its new album, Completely, in a pay-what-you-want model a month before its April 13 physical release. From now until that date, the quartet is allowing fans to download the album from its website, giving them the freedom to choose its price. After releasing two solo efforts, former Dirty Dozen guitarist Jamie McLean formed the band in order to add more depth to his bluesy sound. Combining elements of blues, Southern rock and soul, the 11-track Completely promises to take listeners on an array of emotions from the heartbreak of "Natalie" to the joy of the R&B beat-laden "Cupid's Greatest Thief." The quartet has also embarked on an 18-date spring/summer tour in support of this new release. The tour kicked off last week at the Allman Brothers' Big House Benefit Concert at B.B. Kings in New York, and will continue throughout the East Coast before coming to a close on September 12 in Atlanta, Georgia.
