Emerging from two years of uncertainty and recovery, Chicago indie-popsters Chin Up Chin Up have just announced an October 10 release date for their sophomore LP, This Harness Can't Ride Anything (Suicide Squeeze). Harness follows the band's promising 2004 debut, We Should Have Never Lived Like We Were Skyscrapers, and will be their first issue without original bassist Chris Saathoff, who was struck and killed by a drunk driver outside Chicago's Empty Bottle on Valentine's Day 2004. Chin Up was initially reticent to continue, but did so at the request of Saathoff's family and generous public support. Sir Brian Deck, who has worked with Modest Mouse and Iron And Wine in the past, produced the album. Tracklist For This Harness Can't Ride Anything: 01. This Harness Can't Ride Anything 02.
