CMJ Music Marathon 2006 is about to get a little hotter with the addition of some new panelists, including a memeber of Seether, a Fuse VJ, a punk rock producer and even a porn star. Jesse Jane, pornographic actress and model, will be appearing on the Getting In Bed With Porn panel November 2. Jane jumpstarted her career with a fateful appearance in a Hawaiian Tropic beauty contest that led to a walk-on roll on Baywatch. Since then, she has signed a contract with pornographic industry giants Digital Playground and now hosts one of Playboy TV's most watched shows, Naughty Amateur Home Videos. Fuse VJ Steven Smith will be a panelist on Video Star Confidential: Top VJs Tell All on November 4. A perfect choice for the panel, Smith is no stranger to music television. Before starting his time with Fuse, he was a VJ for VH1 on Top 20 Countdown and Rock Across America. He then moved on to host The Daily Download on Fuse for two years and now has his own gig as the host of Steven's Untitled Rock Show. Shaun Morgan, frontman for Seether, can be seen November 3 as a panelist for The Metal God Diaries: Uncensored Stories You Won't Hear On Behind The Music. Originally from South Africa, Morgan and his Seether bandmates have been climbing the charts since their first major release in 2002, Disclaimer. Their latest work is a new live acoustic CD/DVD combo, One Cold Night, that shows the band's sensitive side and coincides nicely with select US tour dates throughout the summer. Also just added, legendary punk-producer Geza X will be on the Music Producer's Summit panel November 1. Starting from scratch living in studios and rock venues during the very beginnings of California punk, Geza has enjoyed a long and influential career as a producer and engineer. Having worked with bands like the Dead Kennedys, Black Flag and the Germs, he is seen as invaluable to the development of the music scene in the '70s and '80s and still works in Los Angeles, where he is in the process of collecting musicians and artists for an underground arts community called Multimedia Arts District (MAD). Also slated for panel appearances are Maggie Vail, vice president of A&R at Kill Rock Stars/5RC, Julianne Andersen, owner of Seattle-based AlphaFemale Booking and Michael Klein, president of Hustler TV parent company LFP Broadcasting. www.cmj.com/marathon
