Fathers, hide your daughters, as Baltimore's Spank Rock are about to hit the road, spreading beats and, uh, legs, coast to coast (including Kalamazoo, Michigan, if you were wondering). The duo is still touring in support of their last release, Yoyoyoyoyoyo (Big Dada). It seems especially appropriate that they'll be kicking off this tour at Brooklyn's McCarren Pool. As Naeem Juwan explained to us, his music was partially inspired by the YMCA pool parties he attended as a high schooler: "It's in the fuckin' Y, so it's gross," he said. "But in the next room you got the pool and shit, so girls came in their swimming suits. Whatever the hottest club song at the time, they would drop it and have girls have an ass-shaking competition. Sometimes chicks took their clothes off... most times chicks took their clothes off..." Get ready, Brooklyn.
