Deerhoof have announced that Friend Opportunity, their follow up to last year's Runners Four, won't be hitting streets until at least 2007. The album, which contains 10 new absurdly titled tracks, will reportedly be decked out in artwork by Scottish artist David Shrigley, who's widely known for creating the animated video for Blur's "Good Song." While 2006 will be the first year of the new millennium to go by without a new Deerhoof album, the band is still keeping very busy. They're currently on duty recording the soundtrack to Dedication, the directorial debut of Six Feet Under's Justin Theroux. If a Deerhoof soundtrack isn't enough to get you into the movie theater, be aware that the upcoming romantic comedy also features the acting talents of Billy Crudup and Mandy Moore.
