Tired of rationing your iPod battery on those extra-long flights? Worry no more. Apple has just announced its plans to install personal iPod docking stations in the cabins of new planes for six major airlines. Steve Jobs & Co. claim to have signed agreements that will allow passengers to charge their iPods while aboard flights through Continental, Delta, United, Emirates, Air France and KLM. In addition to powering up music players, the docking stations will also make it possible to view iPod videos on the monitors mounted on seat backs. According to Reuters, Apple's latest iPod project may have been announced a bit prematurely. Both Air France and KLM have denied making any firm agreement with the computer giant. While KLM noted that they had only made "informal contacts" with Apple, a representative for Air France argued, "It's way too early to confirm any such details." www.apple.com
