The college radio community mourns the loss of Sean Weber, the metal director of Brooklyn’s Kingsborough Community College radio station WKRB, who was struck by a car last night in Brooklyn and later pronounced dead at Kings Highway Division Of Beth Israel Medical Center. According to news reports, Weber, 23, was walking home from the school around 8:20 p.m. and listening to an MP3 player, when he was hit and tossed more than 100 feet near Veterans Avenue and East 71 Street in Bergen Beach, about five blocks from his home where he lived with his mother. The driver of the Saturn that struck Weber has not been charged with a crime. www.wkrb.org
