As of this week, the boys in O'Death have inked a deal with Ernest Jenning Record Co. As an unsigned band, the quartet honed their shrill, country folk music in the urban debris of Brooklyn and Manhattan, which, although not authentic to their Appalachian influences, only makes them sound darker. Rather than release a new record, Ernest Jenning is re-releasing their stellar Head Home, completely remixed and remastered, with widespread distribution. Fans (and especially Internet fans who have yet to see the group) can expect more touring in not only the US, but possibly Europe as they also signed a deal with City Slang in Germany. "The album is actually going to sound a bit different," says frontman Greg Jamie. "I wonder if it's strange to have two different sounding versions of the same album 'out there.' Strange is okay." www.myspace.com/odeath
