As with the "Joey Ramone Pl." street sign adorning New York’s Bowery and 2nd St. intersection, Los Angeles will also feature a fallen-Ramone tribute, this time for Johnny, who died in September. On January 14, Johnny's wife (and Joey's unrequited love) Linda will unveil a bronze statue in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, followed by speeches from some of Johnny's closest friends. The monument reportedly isn't far from Dee Dee Ramone's grave. Tommy Erdelyi, the sole remaining original Ramone, and has enjoyed a relatively successful production career since abdicating his Ramone moniker.
