Before heading out to Europe to tour in support of last fall's This Island, Le Tigre shot a public service announcement for PETA2, PETA's youth-focused division, with the headline, "Don't Let Your Honey Wear A Bunny"—made up by Le Tigre of course. Posing with the band was Johanna Fateman's pet rabbit Karen (her other rabbit, Cobra, passed away last summer). Peta2.com features a short video clip of the photo shoot, which includes interviews with Fateman, Kathleen Hanna, and JD Samson. In it, Fateman says that, back when she used to work coat-check at parties, she would slip notes into the fur coats of partygoers. Other bands and musicians who have joined Peta2's cause are Peaches, Tegan and Sara, the Streets, and Sleater-Kinney.
