Dave Matthews Band, Ben & Jerry's and saveourenvironment.org are readying themselves for the band's Lick Global Warming tour, which kicks off July 16. During the 23-concert tour, the show will feature educational interactive exhibits on global warming and samples of a new ice cream flavor called "Dave Matthews Band Magic Brownies." Part of the new flavor's profits are slated to go towards global warming initiatives. Advocating mass transit, fuel-efficient cars, energy-efficient appliances and recycling, saveourenvironment.org urges reducing personal carbon dioxide emissions and voicing global warming concerns to Congress. Vanilla ice cream with brownies and raspberry swirls might seem a strange place to start environmental awareness, but it's about time someone made climate change palatable. In another act of environmental stewardship, Dave Matthews has decided to stop dumping septic tanks onto boatloads of tourists.
