Starting today, Chicago-based power poppers OK Go will embark on a month-long North American tour with Leeds' Kaiser Chiefs in support of their upcoming second full-length on Capitol Records, Oh No, due out August 30. Kicking off in Asbury Park, New Jersey, the tour will move through Canada and the Midwest, and then onto California for four dates in June. While on the road, the band (which replaced original guitarist Andrew Duncan with Andy "Rusty" Ross earlier this year) will offer free podcast reports and updates, downloadable as mp3 files on their website: www.okgo.net. Prior to the presidential election last fall, lead singer Damian Kulash garnered some press attention by authoring the activist handbook, How Your Band Can Fire Bush, which gave indie rockers a crash course in the electoral process.
