Twin Cities hip-hop crew Heiruspecs, known for their live instrumentation and live rhymes, have been asked to open for Mr. New Yawwwk himself, Ja Rule, on 16 dates of his R.U.L.E. tour. Starting yesterday (June 9) in Rapid City, South Dakota and ending at B.B. King Blues Club in NYC on June 30th, these indie Atmosphere cohorts will get a chance to rub shoulders with many a Murder Inc. member (or at least their bodyguards), and follow Ja's pimped-out tour bus in their own "cozy but spacious" ride. Heiruspecs apparently secured the gig when a friendly promoter in Fargo suggested the hard-touring 'specs to fill a lineup hole in Ja Rule's North Dakota show. Ja looked into the crew, liked their music and invited them on the tour. "It just kind of fell into our laps and I'm pretty happy about it," explains MC Felix from the road. Our only word of advice: be wary of invitations to work with The Inc. Fat Joe and Jadakiss can handle beef with 50 Cent... we're not so sure about guys who have a bassist named Twinkie Jiggles.
