Hellfest, the hardcore scene's Lollapalooza (if Lollapalooza had fewer mudslides and more walls of death) will be having its 9th show the weekend of August 19, with 188 bands performing over three days. Headlining will be the not-exactly-"hardcore," but definitely freaking hardcore Public Enemy. The seminal hip-hop revolutionaries will be promoting their upcoming record Rebirth Of A Nation alongside other resuscitated bands like Youth Of Today, 108 and Bold. Other performers in the extremely long roster will include Terror, the Red Chord, Champion, the Esoteric, the Misfits, Rise Against, Nile and Pig Destroyer. Speaking of pig destroyers, Bad Luck 13 Riot Extravangza apparently brought pig guts onstage at last year's Hellfest and flung them at the audience. Though the band broke up afterwards, hopefully this year's moshfestival will be similarly awesome. Just dont get any blood on Flava Flav's (or should we say Fufi Fufi's) Clock, or you’ll be the one seeing red.
