After 20 months of recording, Iceland's masters of epic ambience Sigur Rós have completed their fourth full-length album (the first, Von, was re-released in the US just last year). The as-of-yet (and perhaps never-to-be) untitled 10-song album is reported to represent a slight shift toward rock and roll, with shorter songs and a more traditional structure. In the interim since 2002's (), the band has been busy touring and putting out smaller releases such as the soundtracks to the films Hlemmur and The Loch Ness Kelpie (short), and an EP called Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do. Their tour kicks off in Scotland on July 8, snaking through Europe.
