Reznor Rips Record Labels

Reznor Rips Record Labels
May 16, 2007
Story by: Lee Bains

Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor posted a blog on the NIN website Sunday, scathingly reprimanding his label, Universal Music Group, and record labels in general. Marveling that UMG priced the Australian release of NIN's Year Zero at $34.99 ($29.10 US), Reznor commented, "Shame on you, UMG," adding, "No wonder people steal music."

Vowing to protect his fans' financial interest by "not allowing Capital G to be repackaged into several configuration that result in [fans] getting ripped off," Reznor did add that a full-length remix version of Substance will soon be announced.
