Fans Dabble With Bands For Indaba Music Contest
Jun 11, 2007
Story by: Pamela Garavano

International online music community Indabamusic.com encourages fans and artists to connect and collaborate with one another for its first Studio Access contest, starting June 19. The rules? Three selected bands will upload a single along with individual tracks from recording sessions and, over the next six weeks, will leave it up to fans to remix, comment on and vote for the re-worked submissions as they see fit. The prize? Hello e-fame!

The chosen artists for the first installment of Studio Access are London indie rock trio Some Velvet Morning, alt-rock band Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers and Michigan pop-rock quintet Mason Proper&mdash. Indabamusic.com plans to make the contests a year-round fixture, with each installment lasting six weeks.
