Cherry Lane Snag 'Rock Star' Dilana

Cherry Lane Snag 'Rock Star' Dilana

Cherry Lane Publishing, who count the likes of Wolfmother, the Black Eyed Peas and John Legend among the names on their roster, have announced that they've signed Rock Star: Supernova runner-up Dilana Robichaux to a long-term, international co-publishing agreement. The deal essentially means that a portion of Dilana's copyrights will be transferred to Cherry Lane for use in both the United States and abroad for the next few years.

Dilana's performances on the show were always met with pretty warm reviews from on-screen personalities and critics alike (the show itself, however, is another story), though she was narrowly edged out by sunglasses-sporting Lukas Rossi for the role in Supernova. "Dilana was the real star of the show," says Richard Stumpf, SVP of Creative Services and Marketing. "I was immediately floored by her powerful voice and songwriting skills. As she is an artist with major potential, it was clear we had to sign her."

Dilana is reportedly holed up in an L.A. studio working on her debut album with fellow Cherry Lane artist and Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars.
