'Respond To Sound 2' Waits For Audience Response

'Respond To Sound 2' Waits For Audience Response
Jun 19, 2007
Story by: John Beardsley

Respond To Sound 2, a documentary that highlights the integral role of freestyle dance in the evolution of hip-hop and features commentary from KRS-One, the Black Eyed Peas and jazz icons Sammy Davis Jr. and Sandman Sims, will be released June 21, with advance screenings taking place in both Los Angeles and New York City today. Building upon his first two documentaries, Respond to Sound and Soul Movers, producer Adrian Young set out to make a film he hoped would live up to the inimitable Wreck N' Shop, the 1993 story of Elite Force, Brooklyn's premiere freestyle dance group. Making use of his patented sample-based film technique, Younge has produced an artumentary that would make Mike Relm green with MC envy.
