Thurston Moore has confirmed that his new solo album, Trees Outside The Academy (Ecstatic Peace), will hit shelves and bandwidth sometime this September, marking his first proper solo effort since 1995's Psychic Hearts. Moore recorded the record in Amherst, where he currently resides, in J Mascis' Bisquiteen studio, with Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley lending his services (as did Mascis, Christina Carter of Charalambides and Sunburned Hand Of The Man's John Moloney). Moore's steady gig will be touring throughout Europe for most of the summer, but will take a reprieve at the midpoint to play a few shows stateside. Tracklist For Trees Outside The Academy: 01.
