L.A.-based new media company Choose Interactive has unveiled The Weathered Underground, their first project that combines elements of film, gaming and music. Having premiered at this years SXSW festival, the film follows the story of Eric, an early 20-something dealing with a break-up and his subsequent interaction with the world around him. But instead of following Blake's story with a linear plot line, The Weathered Underground allows viewers to choose where the characters will go after each scene, not unlike those Choose Your Own Adventure books still rotting in your parents' basement. Available for viewing/playing on Choose Interactive's website, the film also features a wealth of upcoming bands—including the likes of the Lashes, Saturna and the Blakes—both performing in the film and contributing to its soundtrack. Choose Interactive has also announced plans for The Weathered Underground: Liz a second installment to the story that will focus more on the film's female lead.
