While they might be playing at the Gurten Festival today in the Swiss capital of Berne, New York's Nada Surf will head back the US and out on their first national tour in more than a year this fall, road-testing new material from their forthcoming and as-yet-untitled new album for Barsuk, set for releases in 2008. The trio will bring along Dangerbird act Sea Wolf for all but one of the dates, which begin in Columbus on October 15 and winds through most midwestern and southeastern cities before wrapping up in Baltimore on November 2. The group last released the Chris Walla-produced The Weight Is A Gift (Barsuk) in 2005.
