Intended to showcase a skilled collection of up-and-coming MCs, Underground returns the veteran beatmaker to his independent roots as the board-wizard behind such legendary albums as Talib Kweli and Mos Def's 1998 masterwork Black Star and the breakthrough 2000 Kweli/Tek collaboration Reflection Eternal/Train Of Thought.
