The early '90s alternative rock band, the Lemonheads, have quietly reunited (sort of) and started working on new material. After a surprise show at the Benicassim music festival in Spain on August 6, the Lemonheads' manager confirmed that the group has begun recording at Blasting Room Studios in Colorado. Since the band's inception, the Lemonheads have seen a rotating cast of characters, always spearheaded by Evan Dando. The latest incarnation of the band consists of Dando and members of the Descendents, Bill Stevenson and Karl Alvarez (Blasting Room Studios was actually partly established by members of the Descendents in 1994). The new members plan to tour with Dando once the latest Lemonheads record, the first since 1996's Car Button Cloth, is complete. The group is already scheduled to appear at the Across the Narrows Festival in New York on October 2.
