In the race for mammal-named superiority last year, the Animal Collective surely came out on top. Their pretty, sometimes psychotic Sung Tongs won its place in many a freak-folker's heart (and made a few top tens to boot). The group's mellow follow-up, Feels, will drop on October 17, preceded by a three-song single for the pleasing and jaunty "Grass," due out September 26. The Brooklyn-based troupe also plans to criss-cross Europe throughout October and November, where they'll be spreading their echo chamber-styled craziness to the farthest reaches of Scandinavia, Germany and Scotland.
