The date for the digital release of Jimmy Eat World's EP, Stay On My Side Tonight, has been pushed up to September 13. Some of the songs that appear on the album, including the solemn "Disintegration" and the more energetic tracks "Over" and "Closer," were originally recorded for last year's Futures. However, according to lead singer Jim Adkins, they didn't quite fit on the album. Also featured on Tonight are a cover of Heatmeiser's "Half Right" and a remixed version of "Drugs or Me." The physical EP will hit stores on October 4, and for the rest of the fall, Jimmy Eat World will be touring throughout the US with Green Day. The group says they'll likely begin work on a full-length follow-up to Futures after the tour.
