New Jersey's college-rock masters Fountains Of Wayne will rock Alice Tully Hall on Friday, September 16, 2005 with a special performance at College Day as part of the 25th Anniversary CMJ Music Marathon. "We are very excited to play during Collage Day at CMJ," the band told CMJ. "We like making collages out of pictures from fashion magazines, newspaper headlines, or sometimes just bits of colored paper and string. This is gonna be great! See you there... Don't forget your glue and scissors." A longtime CMJ favorite (yes, we knew them before we lusted over "Stacy's Mom"), Fountains Of Wayne have just released Out Of State Plates, a two-CD compilation of non-album tracks. In addition to live performances, College Day boasts panel discussion on issues confronting college radio and will be capped off by the first-ever CMJ College Radio Awards, highlighting college radio's best and brightest.
