Outshouts, a website based out of Palo Alto, California, has launched a free message service that lets users intro their favorite MP3s and then send them out via email or mobile phones to their friends. In what the company calls "micro-blogging," the idea is that the tracks can include your unique commentary to then outsource on a user's own blog, or social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook. "Outshouts is a fun and simple way to send messages to friends with the added emotive weight of music," says founder Michelle Soleau, "making it both highly personal and unique to both the sender and the receiver."
