Guitar icon and founder of Television (the band, not the actual television... that was Philo Farnsworth) Tom Verlaine, has announced plans to unveil two new records in April of next year. The albums will be released by Thrill Jockey, who is also reissuing Verlaine's 1992 album of noir-ish instrumentals, Warm and Cool on October 11, complete with eight bonus tracks. The new albums are untitled at present, but one will be a vocal album, "more like what people know me for in Television," notes Verlaine. The second album will be another instrumental album. Verlaine is currently on tour with Patti Smith, but is organizing a band for select Television dates. www.marquee.demon.co.uk
