After languishing in bootleg status for years, the cult documentary "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" is finally seeing release on DVD, along with a slew of bonus material. The 16-minute film by Jeff Krulik and John Heyn follows the folks camped outside a Maryland arena waiting to see Judas Priest circa 1986 and the shenanigans that follow. If denim, loud riffs and a mass sea of mullets are your idea of rock 'n' roll fun, the film is probably a sacred treasure for you by now. And for just such a fan, the new DVD release features over two hours of bonus material (that's way longer than the actual film), including outtakes, music videos, karaoke, and a feature that let's you experience what it's like to watch a 10th generation VHS copy of the short.
