Freestyle Fellowship figurehead Aceyalone and the underground's favorite whiteboy, RJD2, will form like Voltron this February 7 for Acey's latest LP, Magnificent City. RJD2 produced three tracks for Aceyalone's 2003 release, Love & Hate, and the experience was apparently so positive they decided to build an entire new record together. Dropping on Project Blowed/Decon Records, the album matches Aceyalone's literate lyricism with RJD2's soulful and subtle touch for a beautiful one-two punch of West Coast rhymes and East Coast instrumentals. The working title for this project was originally ACD2, but we guess they decided to keep it under the Aceyalone title so as not to confuse record store stockists. Also, ACD2 sounds stupid.
