Electro-punk sensation Crystal Castles have announced a headlining American tour that will kick off this June. The band rose to such prominence through an accidental first single, a recorded microphone test creatively titled "Alice Practice." The resulting sound, which is akin to tripping while listening to CSS and playing Super Mario simultaneously, was featured on their MySpace page in 2005 and attracted the attention of Merok Records. Three years later, the Toronto duo are steadily gaining popularity within the US, becoming mainstays on the CMJ charts and even reaching No. 1 at RPM. Word to the wise: go see this tour before they start opening for Rihanna. For now, they're still affordable. All shows on their upcoming tour are under thirty bucks and a few are even free.
