Riding on the coattails of the success of the re-mastered version of The Joshua Tree last year, the talented lads from a little Irish band called U2 have now re-mastered their first three albums, which will be released in standard, deluxe and digital formats by Universal on July 22, as well. The Edge has personally overseen the re-mastering of Boy (1980), October (1981) and War (1983), from the original audio tapes. Each album will be released in both hard copy and digital formats: as a a standard single disc, a deluxe double version, which includes a bonus disc of B-sides, live cuts and other rarities, and as a vinyl LP. The packaging of each album has also been revamped, with new liner notes, previously unreleased photos and full lyrics. If you still haven't found what you're looking for, these re-issues are it.
