Joaquin Phoenix Directs People In Planes Video
Jan 10, 2006
Story by: Carlos Clark

Actor and PETA spokesperson Joaquin Phoenix (nickname: Kitten) recently shot the debut video for Welsh rock quintet People In Planes. The collaboration isn't quite as random as it first sounds. Wind-Up Records (whose roster includes People In Planes as well as Evanescence and former Creed frontman Scott Stapp) put out the soundtrack for the Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line, which starred Phoenix. This isn't the first video for Phoenix either. He directed the video for "Tired of Being Sorry" by the band Ringside as well. The video for the band's single "If You Talk Too Much (My Head Will Explode)," was shot in the Ontario, California International Airport. The single will be the first from the band's debut album, As Far As The Eye Can See. As Far will hit stores March 28, while the video should be completed near the end of this month.
