Multi-talented ex-Blur guitarist Graham Coxon is set to release his sixth solo record, Love At Illegal Speeds, in Europe March 13. As with his previous releases, Coxon plays almost all the instruments on the record. Though the album artwork isn't available, it's also likely that Coxon, who is an accomplished painter, will create the cover for Love At Illegal Speeds, as he's done for all of his solo records and the cover to Blur's 13. Blur are currently also working on the follow-up to their seventh LP Think Tank, which was released in 2003. It will be the fourth record Coxon has released since he left Blur because of the growing disconnect between their Britpop-heavy sound and his growing love for American hardcore and indie rock. Though Coxon is easily running at double the output of his former bandmates, Albarn has been busy with his Grammy-nominated project Gorillaz, and bassist Alex James has been penning stories for British papers The Independent and The Observer. As for rumors that he and Blur are on the verge of getting together again for the new Blur record, Coxon told British paper The Sunday Mail that there was no possibility of a reunion: "It was 10 years ago that Blur were at their height so I'm quite a different person now.
