Pop-punk hip-shaker and risk-taker Ted Leo joined the Touch & Go label after releasing three full-length gems with Lookout! Records. Touch & Go boasts a roaring roster topped with TV On The Radio, Dirty Three, Supersystem and Pinback. Ted Leo, known best for his political prowess, energetic performance and full-ranged falsetto released his most recent record, Shake The Sheets, on Lookout! with his band the Pharmacists in 2004. Ted Leo is no stranger to change. He has moved seamlessly from the New York hardcore scene to fronting the DC outfit, Chisel, and has been with the Pharmacists since 1999. Although no details were given why the switch has been made, the subject seems err, Touchy. Last week, indie-rock mistress, Mary Timony, made the move from Lookout! Records to Kill Rock Stars without a concrete explanation. In light of recent events, Ted Leo has made this statement to the press: "As sad as I am that circumstances have forced a move from Lookout! Records, I'm insanely happy and thankful to be able to make that move over to Touch And Go… Touch And Go’s history is my history, like Lookout!'s history is my history, like Gern Blandsten's history is my history -- American Punk Rock, True Believers, the Real Deal… Believe me when I tell you…that I thank my lucky stars for all those that I have worked with in the past, and the ability to join Touch And Go to take it higher in the future." Ted Leo will be taking it higher in the very near future as he begins touring with his own discovered international talents, Duke Spirit and Les Aus.
