On the heels of the announcement of the release date for their new album, New York’s the Walkmen have announced dates for a late spring/early summer tour. The tour will kick off at Webster Hall in their hometown May 24. Fans will have an opportunity to get tickets before the general public by registering on the band's website. Pre-sales have already begun and more dates are expected to be announced shortly. As we previously reported, the band will be supporting their much anticipated third studio album, A Hundred Miles Off, which will be released May 23 via Record Collection. The band recorded the album at their former studio Marcata in Harlem and at the famed Inner Ear Studios outside Washington, DC, with Don Zientara (Fugazi, the Dismemberment Plan) engineering. In the meantime, the band is playing with the Pogues on their Boston and St. Patick’s Day New York shows and will be performing at Coachella. The band also announced several UK dates that will precede their headlining summer tour.
